  1. Just one step at a time, I can do that! Hey guys, in the airport leaving for a quick vacation. Nervous I will be scrambling for options for meals. We have a fridge in our hotel room, but I don't think we have much else, so lots of eating out! Any suggestions/encouragement would be great! Hope things are going well for everyone! Have a great rest of the week!

    1. A few points lost here or there will happen. I'm getting quite good at picking apart menus. Most servers know exactly what's in the food. And when I explain the game they often times like to help out and make suggestions. It ends up costing more in tips but you stay in the game. Have fun.

  2. Melissa,

Salad, salad (no dressing) fish and steak when you are on vacation. I always like to have food in the fridge on vacation (fruit, veggies, deli meats, almond butter, nuts) so I can be in charge of my choices and not rely on restaurant and then I make poor choices because I am soooo ravenous. Best of luck but most of all have fun.

  3. I agree with Lindsay. Keeping options on you helps big time! You can make a stop to a store for healthy stuff just as easily as you can a restaurant but if you have to eat out, don't be afraid to ask questions about the menu! You are paying for it after all so you shouldn't feel bad for having it altered for your health :) Have fun!

  4. Thank you everyone for your encouragement and tips, they really have helped! Yes, I have been eating a lot of fish and veggies, but the fish is so fresh over here it feels like a treat! I have given up a point here and there for a few things, but I am definitely more conscious than I would have been otherwise, which is making me make better choices. I found a natural food market near our hotel, that has saved us! Thanks again, you guys are inspiring me to do better! Awesome job to all of you!
